My Publications

I wrote this book for teachers who need practical ideas for applying drama and movement in the classroom. Eve Bearne of the UK Literacy Association wrote, ‘there is a clear synergy between doing and thinking – and the examples in the book will give teachers plenty of ideas for both.’

My book ‘Teaching Through Embodied Learning’ addresses the neglect of movement in learning. The book presents a detailed account of my PhD research study that used drama methods to help primary aged students (Y4) learn about the solar system.

My chapter in this collection of international research studies on the effectiveness of learning science through drama, documents a case study on teaching main ideas about the solar system through the drama convention of tableau.
